Smith Residence

The owners of this historic Allentown home needed a more functional garage in addition to exterior hardscaping updates. Project desires included a one-car garage with storage, a fitness space, a small water closet, an indoor-to-outdoor bar with space to cook & entertain, and finally a more functional driveway with an updated front stoop. This resulted in a design for a new structure that mirrors the massing of the existing historic house, but at a smaller scale. Key features also include a large awning bar window and driveway whose pattern subtly splits vehicle and pedestrian.
